With the very very sad closing of Cheap Joe’s Art, I’ve been looking for other sources for supplies and materials. Luckily, there is a very cool store located in Rock Hill called Blue Goose Art Supply. Definitely worth making a special trip, but the location has easy parking and is a great source for inspiration. They even have an “Artist Baseball Card Trade” where local artists can create something using the provided “baseball card sized media and then take a completed card as part of the trade.
It took me a while to take the card, create, and come back – especially since I always seem to want to go to Rock Hill whenever the store happens to be closed 🙂
I ended up going “unconventional” and made a skyline using ink pens and two cards that can be connected:

Here’s the artist I “traded” with. I need to reach out and tell him/her that their Patrick has found a new home.

Staff at Blue Goose are super friendly and it’s just a cool space to hang out in. Encourage those in the area to go check it out! https://www.bluegooseartsupply.com/
